The mission of HOPE, Inc is to fight housing discrimination in Miami-Dade and Broward counties and to promote equal housing opportunities throughout the state or Florida. HOPE, Inc does this through a three-tired strategy of (1) Education and Outreach, (2) Private Enforcement, and (3) Intake and Counseling.

In implementing our three-tired strategy, we work to create an environment that supports and encourages equal opportunity in housing. Secondly, we assist individuals who are denied their legal rights and provide remedies to achieve the housing of their choice. And third, we assist, counsel, promote involvement and conduct research in the area of fair housing enforcement, education and outreach.

Our fair housing activities include, but are not limited to, counseling and obtaining facts regarding alleged acts of discrimination; conducting training seminars, presentations and workshops on fair housing laws, policies and procedures; assisting community leaders and members of the housing industry develop fair housing strategies; developing resources to provide fair housing assistance, attempting resolution of complaints through litigation, conciliation or appropriate referral; and providing assistance to the general public on housing-related issues such as predatory lending

HOPE Inc is the only private-non-profit entity in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties engaged in testing for fair housing law violations and pursuing the enforcement of meritorious claims. We have trained over 2,100 volunteer testers who have effectively and impartially gathered evidence necessary to substantiate allegations of discrimination.
